A program of the The Arizona Community Tree Council

Now is your chance to nominate a great tree of Arizona!

What is a Great Tree?

The Arizona Community Tree Council promotes preservation of Great Trees in Arizona. Great Trees can be defined as any individual or group of trees that is considered to be of local, state national or international significance. This significance may be measured in various ways, such as:

  • historical terms,
  • age of the tree,
  • extraordinary size,
  • being of rare or unusual species.

It is recognized that due to certain issues, preservation of Great Trees is not always practical or possible. However, all citizens and communities in Arizona are encouraged to become interested and involved in the preservation of The Great Trees of Arizona.
